Physician Passive Investing is an educational initiative founded and hosted by Dr. Anam Omer, a practicing physician in Houston, Texas.
Why physician-specific education matters
Physicians often begin earning a full income later than their peers, after years of training and with significant debt. Their time is limited, their income is concentrated in one profession, and they are frequent targets of investment pitches.
General financial education rarely addresses that combination. A physician-to-physician conversation can start from the real constraints: a demanding schedule, a careful temperament and a healthy skepticism of anything that sounds too good.
Our aim is to explain how passive real estate investing works, including what can go wrong, so you can decide with clear eyes whether it belongs in your plans.
Dr. Anam Omer
Dr. Omer is a practicing physician in Houston, Texas, and the founder and host of this initiative.
She started Physician Passive Investing because many physicians earn well, have very little time, and get little guidance on investing outside their careers. Her aim is to explain how passive real estate investing works, including the risks, in plain language, so physicians can decide for themselves whether it fits their goals.
She is also a co-founder of Headway Capital Investments, the firm this initiative is affiliated with (see the disclosure below).
